The initiative taken by HM King Mohammed VI to grant an emergency humanitarian aid, worth USD 5 million, to the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip will significantly contribute to alleviate their sufferings resulting from Israelis' military assaults, said secretary general of the Palestinian information ministry Mahmoud Khalifa.
The Palestinian official told MAP that the Royal support will serve to buy medicine and other medical equipment for the Gaza hospitals, expressing the Palestinians respect for this welcome initiative.
He added that this initiative shows that the Sovereign is closely following the situation of the Palestinian people following the escalation of Israel's military attacks and also highlights the Sovereign's active role and presence on the international scene.
In addition to the financial aid, HM the King, chairman of Al Quds Committee, decided to offer to the Palestinians injured in these attacks the possibility to receive medical care and treatment in Morocco.
