On November 30, a total of 173 Palestinian children were imprisoned and prosecuted in the Israeli military court system, an increase of 16.4 percent from the previous month. There were 16 children between the ages of 12 and 15.

On November 27, DCI-Palestine lawyers submitted complaints to the Israeli Military Police Criminal Investigations Division concerning the ill treatment of three Palestinian teenagers during arrest and transfer to Ariel police station in September.

In separate incidents, Israeli soldiers severely and repeatedly beat Ali S, 14, from Azzun, Hendi S, 17, from Salfit, and Mohammad A, 15, from Tulkarem after arresting them. One soldier extinguished a cigarette on Ali’s lip while another burned Hendi’s arm with a cigarette, according to the sworn testimonies of the two teenagers. Hendi and Mohammad were denied access to food, water and toilet facilities for a long period. All three of them were accused of stone throwing. Hendi was previously arrested and subjected to ill-treatment in Februray 2013.

Lawyers for Palestinian Human Rights (LPHR) filed a complaint against the security firm G4S to the the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) concerning the supply of goods and services to Israeli detention facilities in Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territory.

Recently, the UK-based Independent reported that G4S contracts and activities would be the subject of an OECD investigation.
